Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our team at Draughts. As an AGM, you will play a key role in driving operations, leading the team, and ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting the General Manager in all aspects of running the venue.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about customer experience, team leadership, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the Front of House and Kitchen teams, ensuring smooth daily operations while upholding Draughts' high standards.

What Were Looking For

We are seeking an outstanding Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

Strong Leadership & Team Development , A proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will be responsible for training and developing staff, ensuring they are confident in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Youll set the tone for service excellence, fostering a culture of professionalism, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

Operational & Service Excellence, A hands-on approach to maintaining smooth daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination between Front of House and Kitchen teams. You will oversee high-volume service, maintain service speed, and implement best practices to uphold efficiency, quality, and brand standards.

Financial & Business Acumen, A strong understanding of financial performance, including sales tracking, budgeting, and cost control. You will work alongside the General Manager to optimise labour costs, monitor stock levels, and ensure waste reduction, contributing to overall profitability.

Customer Engagement & Brand Representation, A passion for creating outstanding customer experiences that align with Draughts mission and values. You will ensure the team is actively engaging with customers, making board gaming accessible and enjoyable for all, while handling customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Problem Solving & Crisis Management, An ability to think quickly and resolve issues effectively, whether managing customer concerns, service delays, or operational challenges. You will ensure that health & safety standards are met and maintain a calm, professional approach in all situations.
