ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER-
THE ROLE
All My Friends is a new F&B concept, in the cultural heart of East London, Hackney Wick. Brought to you by the team behind The Cause & Costa Del Tottenham, music, events & street food operators since 2018.
With the evolution and expansion of the group, were incredibly excited to have this exciting new venue in our portfolio. The venue provides a hang out for friends and friends of friends that The Cause has met along the way. The venue features a record shop, Custom built Hi-Fi sound-system, local craft beers, food from Sho Foo Doh and PLUR, seasonal cocktails & more. A refined offering with a relaxed atmosphere, soundtracked by some of the world's top selectors.
We are looking for a vastly experienced & multi-talented, Assistant General Manager to develop a team and assist the running of this project into a financially & culturally successful weekly operation
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Venue Manager will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in developing and delivering short, medium and long term strategies to mitigate challenges and ensure the full commercial potential of the business. You will lead the bar team and be the line manager for the Duty Managers and wider bar and floor staff at the respective venues.
ALL MY FRIENDS
? Assist with the management of all aspects of the bar operations for both front and back of house.
? Manage the efficient flow of service across the floor & bars whilst on duty
? Ensure the bar & floor team maintains high standards at all times.
? Ensure the bar team are effectively resourcing the bar adequately to meet business demands whilst achieving financial goals.
? Managing the restaurant floor, assisting the Operations Manager with all incoming bookings and customer enquiries.
? Working alongside two external food traders, oversee the food safety, health and safety standards and meet requirements at all times.
? Oversee the management of stock and the supplies to ensure they are maintained to an agreed level, waste is minimised and stock costs are within target percentages of turnover.
? Produce, reconcile and take control of all daily & weekly reporting duties
? Be responsible for all paperwork and administrative duties produced by the bar and floor team; including staff scheduling, reconciling invoices, stock control and HR requirements.
? Assist all staff training with the support of the bar management team and HR.
? Nurture, train and develop all new and existing staff, championing to promote from within

? Oversee the management of and maintain the security of the venue's operational safety
? Lead with the management of all aspects of the bar operations for both front and back of house
? Ensure the bar management team maintains high standards at all times, implementing SOPs to maintain consistency. Work with the bar management team to ensure they are effectively resourcing the bar adequately to meet business demands whilst achieving financial goals
? Oversee the food safety, health and safety standards and meet requirements at all times (where applicable with any outside food traders)
? Oversee the management of stock and the supplies to ensure they are maintained to an agreed level, waste is minimised and stock costs are within target percentages of turnover
? Be responsible for all paperwork and administrative duties produced by the bar management team; including reconciling invoices, stock control and HR requirements
? Oversee the rota ensuring staff ratios are managed in line with demand whilst managing payroll costs
? Ensuring the venue is operating in accordance with the Premises Licence, following all conditions set by the licence - at all times. Ensuring all duty managers/staff responsible on shift are aware of all aspects of the licence
? Ensuring that the venue is safe, secure and adhering to relevant legislation. Keeping all relevant H&S documentation (fire/evacuation/incidents) is kept up to date, on a weekly basis, with any problems being raised to the Operations Manager
? Book in all external resources required e.g. Security, Cleaners & Sound/Light technicians. Ensuring these costs fall within budgets set and agreed with by the operations manager & resources ordered with adequate notice
? Managing the regular maintenance & upkeep of the premises. Liaising with the operations manager to schedule in any necessary works pertinent to the venues security & operational safety
? Oversee all staff training & development of the wider bar team, with the support of the bar management team and HR. Always looking to promote from within and encourage growth within the team
SALARY
? £15-17 P/H - 30 hour minimum contract per week
