About the Role
We are thrilled to introduce an incredible opportunity to lead the Spring time launch of a chic new restaurant and bar at a boutique hotel located on the picturesque Westbourne Grove canal. This landmark venue will feature an 80-100 cover restaurant, an outdoor terrace, a separate bar, and an in-house bakery. As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating one of Londons most talked-about openings of 2025, with plans for future expansions already in the works.
You will oversee all operations, providing leadership to the team while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The venues ethos is built around the values of Quality, Community, Seasonality, and Hospitality, and we are seeking a passionate leader to champion these principles.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar, delivering best-in-class service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead a talented team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and dynamic workplace culture.
- Guest Experience: Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience.
- Financial Performance: Drive revenue and profitability, meeting and exceeding financial targets while managing budgets effectively.
- Wine and Beverage: Curate an innovative wine and drinks list, with the autonomy to explore both classic and natural options.
- New Openings: Lead the team through the opening process, ensuring a successful launch.
What Were Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior management role in restaurants, bars, or hotels.
- Strong operational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume venue with 100+ covers.
- A charismatic and engaging personality, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for wine and creating exceptional beverage programs.
- Proven ability to inspire, develop, and lead a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience with new openings and all-day dining operations is a plus.
