General Manager

Independent All-Day Café/Restaurant

This much-loved stylish independent 60-cover all-day neighbourhood café/restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic General Manager to lead the team and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

The trade is very Brunch based, all fresh, seasonal produce, made in-house, good coffee, tray bakes and pastries with a very strong local customer base. The FOH service is relaxed yet professional. There is a growing portfolio of evening events and private hire too.

As GM you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the restaurant including.

  • Ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining the company ethos and reputation
  • Sales, customer care & quality assurance
  • Train, manage and motivate staff
  • Hygiene, and health & safety
  • Compliance with licensing laws and other legal requirements
  • All food & beverage service
  • Reservations & driving sales
  • Cashing up, banking, stock etc

Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 year in a similar role
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer focused
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Team player

We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable General Manager with previous experience in a similar unit, capable of running a relaxed yet professional restaurant ensuring the business is run efficiently and that sales targets are met. You must be comfortable taking direction from the business owners and be able to operate as a member of a management team working to the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount.

48-hour week over 5 days.

Hours:8 to 5 + some evening events & private hire

Salary: Up to £35,000 relevant to experience + service charge
