General Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional General Manager for a busy 150 cover café/restaurant situated in one of Londons parks. Serving breakfasts, brunch and light lunches, the cafe caters for both eat-in and takeaway customers with a good selection of grab and go items and a wide range of baked goods produced by their own bakery in Battersea.

Open daily from 8am till dusk, with extended opening hours in the spring/summer months, offering live music in the summer evenings and relaxed park dining. You will be working with a lovely team of predominantly local staff, some of whom have been with us since we opened in 2021.

As GM, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your restaurant, including:

  • Managing and training the team of up to 25 staff
  • Food and beverage service
  • Driving sales
  • Customer care and quality assurance
  • Cashing up and G.P.
  • Health, Safety and Hygiene
  • Compliance with statutory regulations and legislation
  • Promoting the goals of the organisation on a daily basis with each employee

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years as a restaurant manager in a similar unit
  • Boundless energy and enthusiasm
  • Up to date with Epos software and online ordering
  • Strong team leader
  • Customer focused
  • Financially aware

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced and personable restaurant manager, capable of running daily operations, delivering a relaxed yet professional dining experience, ensuring the business is running efficiently and sales targets are met. You must be comfortable taking direction from the business owners and be able to operate as a member of a management team, working to the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount.
