About the Company:

About City Social:

Located on level 24 of Tower 42 in the heart of London and boasting magnificent views across the city, City Social features a Michelin star restaurant serving a beautiful modern-British menu created by Jason Atherton. City Social also houses a relaxed bar, Social 24, offering cocktails inspired by the famous London landmarks that can be spotted from the panoramic views.

About you:

We are recruiting for a talented and experienced General Manager. As a General Manager you would possess strong operational skills and knowledge and be passionate about everything related to running a successful Michelin Starred restaurant, including maximising guests satisfaction levels and creating memorable experiences that would encourage our guests to return, ensuring that we are compliance in the areas of food and health & safety, producing financial reports and audits, food preparation, employee satisfaction and retention, ensuring eye for detail for every plate that is prepared and be a confident Leader and communicator, liaising between the Kitchen and Front of House Team to ensure a smooth operation as well as communicating and representing yourself in a professional manner with other stakeholders within the Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle guest complaints and feedback effectively and professionally
  • Manage Reservations and private functions, seating arrangements, and table service
  • Oversee the smooth running of the restaurant, including stock control, cash handling, and hygiene standards
  • Maintain and comply with high Company service standards
  • Oversee the management of the Reception, Bar, Sommeliers and Restaurant functions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and its development

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as General Manager within a Michelin Starred environment
  • Experience of working and handling high volume covers
  • Experience of hands on management service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and inspire a Team
  • Passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Food Safety qualification will be an advantage
  • Personal Licence qualification will be an advantage.
