We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to take the helm of our vibrant independent pub in South West London. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, managing day-to-day operations, and fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our venue.

As a General Manager, youll lead a dynamic team, maintain high standards of food and drink service, and drive innovative initiatives to grow our business while retaining our core values.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pub, ensuring smooth service and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain and enhance operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Schedule and manage staff rotas to ensure efficient coverage during peak hours.
  • Lead by example, motivating the team to deliver excellent customer experiences consistently.
Customer Service
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is provided at all times, building strong relationships with patrons.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to attract new customers while retaining regular clientele.
Financial Management
  • Manage budgets, track performance metrics, and report on financial outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Oversee stock management, including ordering, receiving, and controlling inventory levels.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through innovative promotions and events.
Marketing and Events
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance the pubs visibility and reputation in the local community.
  • Plan and oversee events, including live music, quiz nights, or seasonal promotions.
  • Build strong relationships with local suppliers and businesses to create collaborative opportunities.
RequirementsExperience and Skills
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of pub operations, including food and beverage management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Knowledge
