Our client, a leading healthcare organisation, is seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Administrator to join their team. If you are a team player with exceptional organisational and communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you!

Start ASAP, this is a permanent position, salary £27k, hours Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, location-Hackney and this role will be working full onsite. Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be required to go through a DBS clearance ahead of starting.

As a Medical Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the medical staff and ensuring the smooth running of the department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to the medical team
  • Managing and maintaining administrative procedures to enable effective work within the department
  • Planning and prioritising your workload to meet deadlines
  • Minute/note taking
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality in all aspects of your work
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, patients, and relatives
  • Coordinating and providing secretarial services for meetings and appointments
  • Assisting with record keeping and database management
  • Acting as a point of contact for telephone inquiries and providing timely responses

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a secretarial or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A calm and composed personality, able to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
