My client in Greater London is looking to appoint talented Public Health Programme Manager (Maternity / Early Years) on a Contract basis.

The purpose of the role is to improve the health and wellbeing of the Council's residents and reduce health inequalities through strategic public health leadership to drive transformational change focusing on the Maternity and Early Years life course segments.

About the role:

Based in Greater London (Hybrid):

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the range of factors impacting on health and wellbeing and health inequalities within the maternity and early years life segment
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the current and future health needs of the population, the extent to which these needs are being met and the priorities for improving health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of the local assets supporting or potentially supporting health and wellbeing of the population.
  • Be the strategic lead for Joint Strategic Needs Assessments for Maternity and Early Years including:

About you:You will have the following experiences:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, specifically within Children's Services and Public Health.
  • In depth understanding of epidemiology and statistics, public health practice, health promotion, health economics and health care evaluation.
  • Good understanding of NHS, local government cultures, structures, policies and the interface between health and social care.
  • Local Authority experience is essential

  • Salary: £450-£500+ per day, inside IR35
