SANZA Teaching agency are currently seeking a KS2 teaching assistant to work 1:1 at a bustling and creative 2-from entry school in Ealing (Hanwell).

With over 400 students on roll from Nursery to Year 6, the school is rich in diversity and prides itself on having high expectations of their students. The school is proud to note that their KS2 SATS results showed that the percent of students achieving expected standards is between 4% and 13% higher across all subjects than the national average.

The role

  • The role is to support a girl in year 3 who has some social and emotional difficulties
  • The girl can display some challenging behaviour from time-to-time, but it is lower level
  • You will also help out with general teaching assistant responsibilities as the girl does not need constant support
  • This is a highly rewarding position for an experienced teaching assistant or a graduate looking to pursue a career in education

KS2 teaching assistant responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support to the pupil with ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Help implement and follow the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to plan and adapt activities to meet the pupil's specific needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil, promoting their social integration with peers
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular feedback on the child's progress
