Long Term Futures are proud to partner with an inclusive primary school in N11 in their search for a dedicated ABA Therapist Teaching Assistant or Positive Behaviour Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to support students with ASD and behavioural needs, using evidence-based strategies to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group teaching sessions aligned with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with ASD and behavioural challenges.
  • Implement and monitor individualised behaviour support plans to promote positive outcomes.
  • Manage challenging behaviours calmly and consistently, using de-escalation strategies where necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of behaviour and progress to inform future planning.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing environment, ensuring pupils feel safe, supported, and motivated.
  • Engage with parents and carers to share progress and collaborate on student development.

About You:

  • Previous experience as an ABA Therapist, Positive Behaviour Specialist, or similar role.
  • A proven track record of working with children with ASD and behavioural needs in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
  • Confidence in implementing behaviour plans and using visual aids to support learning.
  • Relevant qualifications or ABA training are highly desirable.
