An Outstanding Secondary School in Greenwich are searching for Academic Mentor (Science) to join their team of support staff in January or sooner.
As an Academic Mentor, you will be supporting students both in and out class, helping with tutoring-style sessions to support students in their academic studies, ahead of and during exam season.
We are searching for a bright Science graduate with a genuine interest in Science & Education who can work with a range of abilities, whether that's supporting a student predicted a D to get a C, or a student on the A/A* cusp achieve their full potential.
As an Academic Mentor you will make a tangible impact with the students you support, in turn receiving great training, experience and job-satisfaction. This Academic Mentor position is well suited to a Science graduate with aspirations to teach in the future, albeit not a requirement.

JOB ROLE - Academic Mentor (Science)
- Academic Mentor (Science)
- Supporting in Science lessons, as well as running separate group interventions for groups of 4-8 students.
- Working with a range of abilities and academic levels
- Supporting students with SEN & EAL, as well as other students in general
- Full time position, term time only
- 08:30 - 16:00
- 105 - 115 per day
CANDIDATE SPEC - Academic Mentor (Science)
- Bright Science graduate
- Experience in tutoring beneficial but not essential
- Passionate about Science and education
- Confident, relatable and personable
