Position: ASD Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Long term and full time 

Start Date: 6th January 2025 

Pay: £90-£100 per day  (Depending on experience)

Do you have a passion for working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and helping them succeed in their educational journey? GSL Education are looking for a proactive ASD Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Silvertown, Newham. 

Key Responsibilities of ASD Teaching Assistant: 

-        Provide personalised support to students with autism spectrum conditions. 

-        Assist teachers in creating and adapting lesson plans to meet student needs. 

-        Encourage student engagement and build their confidence. 

-        Monitor and report on student progress to staff and parents. 

Requirements for the role of ASD Teaching Assistant: 

-        Experience working with students with autism is advantageous. 

-        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

-        A compassionate, patient approach to supporting learners. 

-        Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
