About the Role - Behaviour Teaching assistant - Lewisham
- Support students with challenging behaviour and SEN in the classroom.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to keep students engaged in their studies.
- Use your behaviour management skills to help de-escalate situations and promote positive behaviours.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to deliver tailored support.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to ensure they feel supported and encouraged.
- Assist students with academic tasks and ensure they are progressing in their learning.
Ideal Behaviour Teaching Assistant
- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour or SEN.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Passionate, proactive, and hardworking.
- Ability to think on your feet and handle challenging situations calmly.
- DBS check (or willing to apply for one).
- Previous experience working in a school or a similar setting is required.
- Team Teach certification is desirable (but not essential).
- Able to commute to Lewisham.
