We are a supportive and inclusive SEMH provision in Bexley, dedicated to providing high-quality education for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Studies Teacher to join their dedicated team and help the students thrive both academically and personally.
Role Overview:
As a Business Studies Teacher at our SEMH provision, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students. You will work closely with a team of professionals to support students with a range of needs, fostering a safe and motivating learning environment where all students can succeed. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is adaptable, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Tailor teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of students with SEMH, ensuring inclusive learning for all.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Work closely with the wider team to develop personalized learning plans and strategies for students.
- Support students' social and emotional development, building their confidence and self-esteem.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Business Studies or a related subject, and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Previous experience teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and/or 5, ideally within a SEMH or alternative provision setting.
- A strong understanding of SEMH needs and how to adapt teaching methods to support students with varying learning abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with young people.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
