Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to support secondary students with complex needs?

About the Role

Long Term Futures is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Tower Hamlets. You will provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to students with a range of learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.

Working alongside teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists, you will help implement tailored behaviour management strategies, assist with lesson planning, and support progress monitoring to track student development. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to students with complex needs.
  • Assist in lesson planning, adapting materials for different learning styles.
  • Support students with behaviour management, encouraging positive engagement.
  • Conduct progress monitoring to assess development and adapt strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement individual support plans.
