We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students and helping them develop valuable digital skills for the future. Responsibilities: ·       

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for various key stages, ensuring accessibility and student participation.
  • Teach core topics including programming, algorithms, data structures, and digital technologies, tailoring content to student needs.
  • Inspire and support students in developing technical skills and fostering a passion for Computer Science.
  • Prepare students for exams and coursework with the necessary guidance, resources, and practice.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and integrate new methods into lessons when applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and innovate the ICT curriculum, supporting cross-curricular learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and families.
  • Promote digital literacy and responsible use of technology, ensuring students are informed and ethical users.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Previous experience as a Computer Science Teacher, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science, coding languages, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create engaging lessons.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
