Smart Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join an Independent school in Willesden, Brent.
About the role- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 student with dyslexia, helping them with reading, writing, and other areas of learning as needed.
- Adapt and modify learning materials to suit the child’s individual learning needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver interventions that support the child’s development.
- Use dyslexia-friendly strategies and resources to support literacy skills, such as phonics programs, visual aids, and multisensory techniques.
- Monitor and record the child’s progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages the child’s confidence and self-esteem.
- Support the child in social interactions and foster positive relationships with peers.
