Are you a recent English graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire young minds? GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant (English Graduate TA) to join our team in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school setting while making a real difference in students' lives.
Roles of an English Graduate TA:
- Support the delivery of engaging English lessons as an English Graduate TA.
- Assist students in understanding complex literary concepts and improving their reading and writing skills.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with English teachers to prepare lesson materials and resources.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
What we are looking for:
- A recent degree in English or a related field.
- Passion for English literature and education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
