About the role :

West London College is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Lecturer in English to join its team. The appointed candidate will be responsible for teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills. This role will include lesson preparation, classroom delivery and marking. The appointed candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to our learners and provide them with an outstanding experience. The post holder will also contribute to curriculum development within the department and will be actively involved in recruiting, interviewing, selecting and counselling students.

The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with the ability to deliver English at GCSE level as well as Functional Skills. They will have experience in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and possess an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. The appointed candidate will have a passion for delivering student success and have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials. Excellent English and Maths skills and a high level of IT competency will be required.

To be eligible to apply for this role, you must possess the relevant qualifications listed in the Person Specification; this includes but is not limited to at least a level 2 qualification in Maths & English.
