Position: English LecturerLocation: South LondonContract Type: Various / TemporaryWe are seeking passionate and dedicated English Lecturers to join our agency in the view of securing a place at one of our leading Further Education and Training Colleges in South London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to contribute to the academic success of our diverse student body and inspire learners in their English studies.

Key Responsibilities of an English Lecturer:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English at a range of levels, including GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Develop, plan, and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
  • Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practices and outcomes
  • Participate in academic and pastoral support for students
  • Uphold high standards of teaching and learning across all English courses
Requirements of an English Lecturer:
  • A degree in English or a related subject (essential)
  • A full UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Experience as an English Lecturer in a Further Education and Training setting
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • Willingness to travel around South London as required

Enhanced Child DBS Clearance is required for this role, either through the Update Service or issued within the last year.
