We are looking for a passionate and dedicatedEYFS Assistantto join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at our vibrant, OFSTEAD OUTSTANDING, primary school in Camden. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young children, helping them to build a solid foundation for their future education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that align with the EYFS curriculum
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, focusing on their individual learning needs and helping them develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, phonics and social development
  • Support students in developing SLCN, developing fine and gross motor skills
  • Supporting students with additional needs and disabilities

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with children in an early years or primary school setting, ideally within an EYFS class
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and developmental milestones
  • A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with young children
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children who have additional needs, including special educational needs (SEN)
  • Knowledge of phonics and early literacy strategies
  • An understanding of effective strategies to support social and emotional development in young children
