A large, diverse junior school in the heart of north London are looking for a Class Teaching Assistant to join their school from September 2024.

The Role

In this role you will be working within the year 3 team supporting across all three classes as required. You will work closely with the class teachers to prepare resources and then lead groups in English and maths, reading and catch up groups in phonics. You will be focused on supporting children who require additional support within lessons and at times working with small groups. You will need to have good English and Maths skills and hold a GCSE above c in both subjects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a class based role or graduate who is looking to pursue a career in teaching to gain classroom experience.

The school are open to applications from experienced teaching assistants and graduates who have experience working with children. Training and support will be provided.

This role is offered on a full-time contract basis from September 2024 until July 2024.

This large junior school welcomes pupils and families from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures. The leadership team and staff have created a fun friendly and exciting place to learn with an enriched curriculum. Pupils are effectively supported to make progress academically as well as personally and socially. The school is deemed 'good' by Ofsted and there is good CPD available. The school is close to Crouch End with good local bus links.
