An outstanding Waltham Forest secondary school is looking for graduates who have an interest in teaching to join the team as Graduate Teaching Assistants from September 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable paid school experience through working as a Teaching Assistant.

This Waltham Forest-based secondary school is seeking graduates who have recent experience with young people-whether paid or voluntary-and are looking to further develop their experience in a school setting. You may have gained this experience through tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, or other avenues.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working within the school's learning support department, alongside an experienced SENCo, supporting pupils with special educational needs in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. You will be working with others who have an interest in teaching and will gain valuable insight into what it is like to work in a London secondary school.

For the past 7 years, this Waltham Forest school has supported graduates embarking on their teaching careers, making it the ideal environment for an aspiring secondary school teacher. You will have the chance to work with students of varying abilities and work closely with different teachers, observing various teaching styles and techniques.

This Graduate Teaching Assistant role is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, and will commence ASAP.
