A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Southwark is looking for a motivated Graduate to join their team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from October 2024. This role is ideal for aspiring secondary school teachers looking to gain invaluable hands-on experience before starting teacher training.

About the Role:

Full-time, term-time position starting October 2024.
Support students across various subjects, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.
Work closely with the Learning Support Department, providing assistance to students with special educational needs.
Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure students receive targeted support to enhance their learning.
Gain exposure to different teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
Assist in preparing classroom materials and contribute to extra-curricular activities.

Key Requirements:

A degree in any discipline (a background in education, psychology, or core subjects is advantageous).
Some recent experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, youth work, or voluntary school work).
A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
A desire to gain school-based experience in preparation for future teacher training.
