Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant - KS2 General & 1:1 Cover

About the Role:
We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant primary school in Wandsworth, London, starting in January. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the education and training sector, particularly in KS2 (Key Stage 2), where you will support teachers with both general classroom duties and provide 1:1 cover for students who need additional help.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Provide 1:1 support to students who need extra help, ensuring their educational needs are met
- Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive, supportive learning environment
- Lead small group interventions to boost students' progress
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to foster a supportive school community
Key Details:
- Salary: £85 to £105 per day
- Start Date: January 2024
- Location: Wandsworth, London
- Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
- School Type: Primary, KS2 (Key Stage 2)
What We're Looking For:
- A graduate with a degree in any subject (ideally with a strong interest in education)
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to different situations
- Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is a plus, but not essential
