Graduate Teaching Assistant

A modern, outstanding East London based primary school are looking to appoint two Graduates to work as teaching assistants within a year 2 class from January 2025. The school are looking for two graduates who have aspirations to begin teacher training in the near future and are looking to use the teaching assistant as a way to gain invaluable school based experience.

I am working with a Newham based primary school who are looking to appoint two Graduates to work as teaching assistants on a full time basis from January.

The school are ideally looking to Graduates who are considering commencing a PGCE/teacher training in the near future and are looking to develop existing experience in a primary school setting.

A number of Graduates have previously worked at this school as a teaching assistant before commencing teacher training.

The successful applicants will be working within a year 2 class with a focus on supporting a student within the class on a 1:1 basis. You will be working alongside an experienced class teacher and will get the opportunity to learn various teaching styles and techniques.

The school are keen to meet with Graduates who have a passion for working with young people and a desire to train to become a primary school teacher.

You will need to have a Degree and some form of recent paid or voluntary experience with young people. You may have gained this experience a number of ways such as voluntary school work, tutoring, overseas voluntary work, University placements, tutoring….
