Full-Time, One Academic Year (September 2025 to July 2026)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and nurturing school community in Southwark, London. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key Details:Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Start Date: September 2025
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Contract: Fixed term for one academic year
Responsibilities:Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Provide one-to-one support for children with SEND, including autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy
- Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support the development of communication, social, and life skills
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each child achieves their potential
- Monitor and record student progress
Requirements/Desirable:Graduate Teaching Assistant
- A degree (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, including autism, Down syndrome, or cerebral palsy
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with children with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children in development
Desirable:Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Knowledge of assistive communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS)
- Understanding of sensory integration strategies
