We are currently looking for a graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Ealing to support a child with special educational needs across the school.

The Role

The school are looking for a graduate teaching assistant to work with pupils across all year groups with additional needs. The needs of the pupils will vary but will include Special Educational Needs (autism/ADHD/dyslexia), behavioural needs and social emotional needs. Your role will include supporting pupils in class and running interventions and small groups outside the main classroom

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a career in primary teaching.

This role is offered on a contract basis for the full academic year.

The Academy

This large all-through academy is based in Edgware, with good local transport links and a popular choice for families in the local area. In this specially designed building pupils have the opportunity to grow and develop with facilities specifically designed for younger children, but with the benefits of the resources of the attached secondary academy. There is a strong leadership team in place within the primary academy and staff and pupils enjoy a smaller, community atmosphere. There are good opportunities for professional development across the academy including teacher training so this is a great option for graduates and those looking to further their career in education.

The school are open to applications from with previous experience or passionate and committed individuals looking to enter the sector. All roles are full-time and are offered on a contract basis from April 2025 – July 2026.

Essential qualities for this role

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
