Opogo and our community of schools are looking for adaptable candidates to work within our Sixth Form College, on a long-term supply basis.

Opogo are seeking out all graduates to work within our North West Secondary Schools. The schools are actively looking for short-term and long-term candidates who can work within KS3-year groups. These roles are set to start after the half term and are suitable for all. Your general duties within the classroom will include working alongside the teacher to ensure all children are working to the best of their ability, as well as working 1:1 or within small groups of children who may need additional help.

Key Responsibilities:


Nurture pupils in developing lifelong, transferrable skills.

Assist in providing one to one and smaller group support.

Create a rapport with parents and track student progress.

Support the emotional and social development of pupils.

Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Ideal Candidate:


Good behaviour management skills.

Previous experience working with SEND pupils( preferred but not needed)

Good interpersonal skill and knowledge of SEND best practices.

Eager to support students academically and emotionally.

Ability to work in a team collaboratively to ensure pupil progression academically and emotionally.


About the Role:


Teaching Assistants should have a positive attitude towards pupils and aid them in achieving success and excelling in the classroom. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate assertiveness and good behaviour management as well as a passion in supporting all pupils, and ideally should have some previous experience in working with SEND pupils. Candidates should also be able to provide support to pupils of varying abilities.
