Are you a recent Psychology, Education, or Childhood Studies graduate looking to gain hands-on classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support? Reeson Education is offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest, where you will work with pupils across KS1 and KS2, including those with SEN.

The Role:

  • Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant.
  • Salary: 80-100 per day, based on experience.
  • Location: Waltham Forest, East London.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support children in both mainstream and SEN settings, working closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure all pupils receive the help they need to thrive.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need additional support in learning and social development.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons and interventions for children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive engagement in learning.
  • Support pupils' emotional well-being, using strategies aligned with psychology and child development theories.
  • Gain hands-on experience in differentiating lessons and supporting diverse learning needs.

  • A Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or related graduate.
  • A passion for supporting children with SEN and additional learning needs.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to working in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
