Role Overview:As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning across various subjects. You will assist in creating a positive learning environment and help students, particularly those with additional needs, to overcome challenges and thrive academically.
Key Responsibilities:- Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need extra help
- Assist students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Support students’ social and emotional development
We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with young people. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with young people (desirable)
- A strong understanding of child safeguarding policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A flexible and proactive approach
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- Additional qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential
