Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant – Lambeth - Immediate

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them develop confidence and achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.

The school is committed to providing a stimulating and engaging education for all students. They are seeking a patient, proactive, and enthusiastic individual who can offer tailored support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviours.

Role Details:

Position: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Lambeth
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term
Salary: £103 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted academic support to individuals and small groups to enhance learning.
Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
Support pupils in developing literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
Foster positive social interactions and encourage cooperative learning.
Help manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers to support tailored instruction.
Assist in creating a stimulating and engaging classroom environment.
Support children with transitions between activities and throughout the school day.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience working in a school and SEN setting.
Ability to support children with SEN and challenging behaviours.
A positive, energetic, and supportive approach to engaging pupils.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with staff.
A commitment to creating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
The ability to adapt and be flexible in supporting a variety of learning needs.
