The Role: As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Maths Department, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience for students. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of engaging and challenging maths lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students requiring additional help in mathematics.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Supporting teachers with administrative tasks, such as marking homework and organising resources.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities and contributing to school events.
  • Assisting in the overall academic and personal development of students.

Requirements:

  • A recent Maths Graduate with a strong academic record.
  • A genuine passion for mathematics and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
