As a Politics Teacher, you will have the opportunity to guide students through the complexities of modern politics and foster a deep understanding of political ideologies, decision-making processes, and global issues. Politics Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Politics for KS5 students.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment to engage students in debates and discussions.
  • Develop students' analytical and critical thinking skills in understanding political systems, governance, and global affairs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Politics curriculum.
  • Organise extracurricular activities such as debate clubs, mock elections, and guest speaker events.
  • Support students in their preparation for A-level exams and higher education pathways.

Politics Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Politics at KS5 in a secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Politics.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment.
