A nurturing and inclusive Primary School in Ealing is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain hands-on experience while making a tangible difference in the lives of young students with additional needs.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and engage in learning.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions to promote academic, social, and personal development.
  • Supporting students with communication, emotional regulation, and social skills to enhance their school experience.
  • Collaborating with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s needs.
  • Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a keen interest in supporting children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
  • A desire to gain experience in an educational setting, with a long-term interest in SEND or educational psychology.
