As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and engage in learning.
- Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions to promote academic, social, and personal development.
- Supporting students with communication, emotional regulation, and social skills to enhance their school experience.
- Collaborating with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each students needs.
- Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
- A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a keen interest in supporting children with SEND.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting childrens learning and development.
- A desire to gain experience in an educational setting, with a long-term interest in SEND or educational psychology.
