Role Responsibilities:
Undertake in-depth assessments of children and their families, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.
Complete Initial and Core Assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory timeframes.
Analyse complex information to identify risks and formulate appropriate care plans.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including education, health, and police services.
Develop and implement child in need or child protection plans, ensuring regular reviews.
Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for intervention or support.
Prepare high-quality reports for case conferences and court proceedings.
Ensure families are fully involved in the assessment process and decision-making.
About You:
Qualified Social Worker with a degree, diploma, or equivalent in Social Work.
At least 2 years of post-qualifying experience in children's services, particularly assessments.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate risk and prioritise effectively.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Registered with Social Work England.
