SEMH Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one to students with SEMH needs in mainstream primary school
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons that address individual student needs.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports both academic and personal growth.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure the safety and well-being of all students
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans and specific support strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant working with SEMH students.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, are desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to different learning needs.
- DBS Check: Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
