About Us:
We are working with a large and friendly primary school in Dagenham that is looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a proactive and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to support SEN pupil, with specific SEMH needs. The successful individual will need experience in supporting pupils with SEMH and have a calm persona.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher where required.
- Support SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience working in a Primary School
- Knowledge: Understanding of SEN
- Desirable: Specific SEMH experience
