A fantastic primary school in Camden, NW1, is seeking a resilient and proactive Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil requiring emotional regulation support, as well as assisting with larger group maths interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil, helping them with emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
- Delivering small group maths interventions, ensuring pupils stay focused and on track.
- Using structured behaviour management techniques to promote a positive learning experience.
- Implementing visual timetables and reward systems to support engagement and emotional stability.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to adapt strategies based on the pupil's needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Confident in behaviour management and supporting pupils with emotional regulation.
- Experience working with children with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural challenges.
- A strong role model, able to build positive relationships and maintain boundaries.
- Comfortable working in both 1:1 and small group settings.
- Relevant experience in a school or youth support setting (desirable).
