A thriving mainstream secondary school in Hackney, N4, is seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behaviour support strategies and a desire to help young people overcome challenges and succeed in their education.

Your Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students struggling with emotional regulation and behaviour.
- Assisting in the implementation of behaviour management strategies and intervention plans.
- Supporting students in lessons, ensuring engagement and positive participation.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SENCO to create a safe, inclusive learning space.
- Helping students develop coping mechanisms and confidence in their abilities.
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience in SEMH, behaviour support, or pastoral roles within a school or youth setting.
- A patient, calm, and understanding approach to working with young people.
- The ability to build positive relationships and provide firm but fair
- A background in youth work, psychology, mentoring, or sports coaching is desirable.
