A highly respected specialist school in Peckham is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This nurturing learning environment supports young people with severe and profound learning needs (PMLD), offering tailored education and care to help each student thrive.
The school is looking for a compassionate and motivated individual to work closely with the Class Teacher, providing whole-class support as well as one-to-one assistance. Your role will involve offering academic support, promoting personal development, and fostering independence. Creativity and adaptability are key to engaging pupils and ensuring they remain motivated throughout lessons. Building strong relationships with both students and their families is essential to achieving meaningful progress.

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will have:- Experience working with SEN pupils in an educational setting
- A passion for supporting students with complex learning needs
- The ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school
- Previous experience with pupils with severe and profound learning needs (PMLD)
