Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Greenwich Start date: April 2025 Industry: Education and Training  Pay: £450-£550 per week   Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant seeking a new position in a Primary School based in Greenwich?   SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:   As a Primary School SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support and assistance to students with SEN. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, helping them with their academic and social development.
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Supporting students during classroom activities, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to participate to the best of their abilities.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording the progress of students with SEN, and providing feedback to the teaching team.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Teaching Assistant & Childcare Level 1/2/3 qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of all students.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
