SEND Teaching Assistant | Year 7 | Secondary School | Lambeth | London | 105-115 per day | Long Term Role | Starting ASAP

The Opportunity:

• Support Year 7 students in achieving academic progress across all subjects
• Well-resourced mainstream secondary school with a strong inclusion team
• Collaborative role working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff
• Long-term career development opportunities
• Full-time role, Monday to Friday
• Paid up to 115 per day, term time only
• Based in Lambeth, London, with excellent transport links
• Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of the SENCo to implement effective support strategies
• Strong behaviour management skills are essential to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Provide 1:1 and small group assistance to Year 7 students who require additional academic support
• Help students remain engaged and focused during lessons, adapting materials where necessary
• Support students with SEN needs, ensuring they feel confident and included in their learning
• Assist students with coursework, organisation, and class participation
• Liaise with teachers and support staff to track progress and adjust interventions accordingly

Who We're Looking For:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
• Experience working in a secondary school or supporting students with SEN.
• A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with students.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• Ability to inspire and encourage students, creating a positive learning environment.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
