SEND Teaching Assistant | Location: Brixton, Lambeth SW2 | Payscale - 95-105 | ASAP Start. | Full-Time

LTF Recruitment are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Needs Teaching Assistant to support the educational and developmental needs of students with complex learning and behavioural difficulties in a primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers in a EYFS classroom environment.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to Early Years students with complex needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment. (SEN)
  • Work alongside the class teachers to adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of children with SEN.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and life skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Ideal candidate will have :

  • Previous experience working with children with complex needs in a primary school environment.
  • A relevant qualification in special education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
  • Strong knowledge of various learning needs, physical disabilities, and behavioural disorders.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for supporting young children in a classroom to make a difference.
