The Role:

We are looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team in Waltham Forest, East London. You will support students' academic, social, and emotional development, in accordance with EHCPs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with SEND
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
  • Support the social and emotional development of students
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers
  • Support students during school activities, outings, and events
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people, prefrably in an educational setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND and SEMH practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students
