We are working with a specialist SEND school in Peckham Rye are looking for to support secondary age pupils with varying severe and complex learning needs.

The Role

In this role you will be working with students from 11- 19 years old who have a range of learning disabilities including severe and complex, sensory and physical, autism and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting students in a range of learning activities, therapy sessions, wellbeing and personal development sessions throughout the modern, purpose built school site. The school are looking for teaching assistants who have previous experience working with children with SEND in any capacity or a true passion to follow a career in this area.

The School

Based in heart of Peckham Rye, this specialist SEND School offers a high quality education, within an open and welcoming environment to young people aged between 11 and 19 years old with a range of learning disabilities. The school's positive and focused community acknowledge the rights of the students to learn and develop as individuals. There is a multidisciplinary team with physiotherapists, occupational therapist, speech and language therapists and special school support assistants, all working co-cooperatively with the teaching staff to meet the individual needs of the students. The school offers excellent professional development programmes for staff and a friendly and supportive environment to work in.
