GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Richmond Upon Thames. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment where student wellbeing and inclusive education are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist students with SEND, including ASD and SEMH, to overcome barriers to learning.
- Work with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Encourage students to engage in classroom activities and social interactions.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Experience in an SEN setting or a passion for supporting SEND students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and resilient.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
