Responsibilities of a Social Science Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the Social Science curriculum.
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of a diverse range of students.
  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on students’ progress and achievements.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to learn.
  • Develop and maintain updated teaching resources and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.

Required Qualifications for a Social Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A degree in Social Science or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Social Science at the secondary level.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
